DOLORS ALBEROLA

         (Sueca, 1952)


She studied medicine but dropped out to become the first woman in the Valencia region of Spain to practice as a court attorney. Since the late 1970s, she has lived in Andalucía and worked as a journalist. Currently, she resides in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), is fully dedicated to literature, and has been delivering literary seminars for various organizations and foundations since 1994. She has produced over fifty books of poetry and has received many awards.

Her work has been translated into Italian, Arabic, Serbian, and Russian and published in numerous anthologies. A large selection of her work is included in "De piedra y sombra: Poetic Anthology (1982-2006)" (Editorial Atenas, 2006).
